Today, I decided to start a blog. I really don't know anything about blogging, but this seems like a good place to start.
I bet you've already figured out what my blog is going to be about (I've always had a hard time keeping secrets!), so I guess I should just get straight to the details.
Some of you may know, we have been "trying" to go green for several years. It goes in streaks here. We go natural for a while, and then succumb to the pressures of the bright colors in the cereal aisle, which leads to a curiosity about why my washing machine manufacturer recommends "Tide" (of course we have to try it now!), and before you know it: I'm buying non organic milk. It's a vicious cycle.
I was recently enlightened about the chemical composition of health and beauty items (Thank you, Lisa!!!) and have made some permanent (as in that big black sharpie marker spot on my roll top desk...FOREVER.) changes in our home. This is a good thing, right? Yes. Is it an easy thing? No way. We're doing it anyway :)
Now, here's the fun part. I want YOU to do it, too. I'm going to help. I will share everything I know about the natural way of doing things with you, but you have to do your part, too. Want to try? I'll only make you commit to things for a short time - long enough for you to try it out and see what you think.

Here's how it works: You e-mail me a question about going natural or ask me for recommendations for replacing a current toxic product in your home. I will put all the energy of research into it for you and then post the information here. Fun right? The catch is this: You HAVE to try it and then let me know how it worked out (which I will then, of course, post on the blog for all of the world to see!). I want you to commit to my way for at least 5 days before you make a judgement. I think you can handle 5 days, can't you?
Occasionally, I will have contests for real prizes! Your prize will always be a surprise and could, quite possibly, be something totally random, but still fun and Earth Friendly!
